How to get there 

Arriving by train and using public transportation

From Cologne Messe/Deutz take tram (underground) no. 9 (direction "Sülz") and get off at the stop "Weyertal”. Walk in the direction of travel, turn right into “Robert-Koch-Str.” and walk straight ahead. The CMMC Research Center, Robert-Koch-Str. 21, 50931 Cologne, is located on the left side (approx. 18 minutes total travel time).

From Cologne Central Station take either subway no. 16 (direction "Sürth", "Bonn / Bad Godesberg") or subway no. 18 (direction "Klettenbergpark", "Brühl") to "Neumarkt" station. You will arrive below street level and need to take the steps/escalator up to street level to change to tram no. 9 (direction "Sülz"). Get off at the stop "Weyertal”. Walk in the direction of travel, turn right into “Robert-Koch-Str.” and walk straight ahead. The CMMC Research Center, Robert-Koch-Str. 21, 50931 Cologne, is located on the left side (approx. 18 minutes).

Arriving at Cologne/Bonn Airport

At the airport train station take on of the following trains:
Line S13, a regional train (RE) or an intercity train (IC/ICE) to Cologne Central Station.
Please note: It takes about 15 minutes with the S13 or a regional train, choose ticket category 1b (currently €3.00) at the ticket machines (valid for regional and S-line trains as well as trams within the city, overground and underground). The ticket is valid for your entire trip to the institute or another destination within the city.

Tickets for intercity fast trains ( IC/ICE ) are much more expensive and need to be bought at a separate machine of DB (Deutsche Bahn).

From Cologne Central Station or Messe/Deutz follow the instructions mentioned above ("How to reach us by train and public transportation").

Going by taxi:
Price from Cologne-Bonn Airport to CMMC : ~ 50 EUR
Price from Cologne Central Station to CMMC: ~ 20 EUR

Arriving by car

On the motorway / Autobahn A4 take the exit "Köln Klettenberg" followed by "Luxemburger Straße", direction Cologne Centre. At the first traffic light turn left into "Militärring". At next crossing turn right into "Berrenrather Straße" and follow for approx. 400 m. Turn left onto "Sülzgürtel" (keep right) and follow for approx. 1.1 km, turn right into "Zülpicherstraße". After approx. 700 m turn left into "Robert-Koch-Straße".  After crossing the roundabout you will find the CMMC (house no. 21 building no. 66 on the University Clinic map) on the left side of the street.
Please note that parking spaces on the University Clinic campus are very limited and that you will need to pay for parking along the road (grey ticket machines).
